Tiny little snapshot of The xx/Friendly Fires from last night. The concert was easily one of the best I’ve ever been to. We had a couple girls over to our place before the show — shared a couple bottles of wine and chatted. Then we cabbed over to Hollywood for the show. Once there, we weaseled our way to the very front and had a non stop dance party.

He wrote me a short email, saying that he hoped my work was going well and suggested when he’d like to me pick for our date.

I spent 20 minutes constructing my response. Which means I have a serious crush.

I’m so excited. And I have my outfit all picked out. Obviously.

In 2005 I spent two weeks exploring the coast in Mozambique. It was pure bliss. We befriended so many locals, cooked freshly caught seafood on the beach, and slept in hammocks. The nightly tropical thunder storms were my favorite. I’d love to go back… graceinsmallthings: Y’all. I am being sent to this little slice of heaven off the coast of Mozambique in April, alone, for an assignment for a national glossy. Just when I start to hate my job, something like this comes up and I realize I would never be happy doing anything else. Swoon!

Beaujolais Nouveau hits stores today! Beaujolais Nouveau is by most favorite (French) seasonal wine. It’s released every year on the third Thursday of November. It’s priced incredibly well and the 2009 blend is supposed to be phenomenal. Hitting the gym and then grabbing a couple bottles at Whole Foods…

I like that Rebecca Taylor dress… but I should probably figure out my plans before I plan an outfit. outofhabit: if i was actually going to buy something new for the holidays [and that’s a very big if right now given my monetary situation] i think it would be something sparkly and sequined - like those ralph lauren flats.
